How long will it take to earn my degree?
It's up to you! You can complete each semester in as little as four months. Your four-semester program can be completed in as little
as 16 months. Or you can take up to one year to complete each
semester. You decide what pace best suits your needs.
I struggled in high school; will this be too difficult
for me?
Absolutely not! We are with you every step of the way, from instructional
and student support to graduate counseling. Your success is our top priority, and we take pride in helping you overcome any obstacle.
What qualifications do the faculty hold?
McKinley faculty hold a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree and have direct professional experience in the fields they teach. Plus,
they are credentialed by the Colorado Department of Higher Education
in their specialized areas.
Will my credits transfer to another school?
Individual schools establish the transfer credit policy for their
school. As such, McKinley College cannot guarantee other schools
will accept its credits in transfer. Students who wish to transfer
credits to another institution should contact the new school about
their transfer credit guidelines and requirements.
Will McKinley accept my credits for transfer from another
school?
The McKinley Registrar will gladly review college transcripts
for possible transfer credit. The appropriate forms and instructions
are in the McKinley College catalog.
What is the availability of the faculty?
Faculty are available by phone Monday through Thursday,
from 11 am to 5 pm EST, or 8 am to 2 pm PST. and via email. Plus, you are welcome
to write the faculty any time.
What other materials will I need to purchase to earn my degree?
Each semester includes ALL the materials you need to complete
your training, including your customized textbooks! You will need access
to a DVD player, a CD player and the Internet. Some programs may require additional resources that you can obtain at your local library

Can I get transfer credit from my work life experience?
Yes! McKinley College knows that you may have valuable experience
in some of the subject areas covered in your program. For a minimal
charge, you can take Life Experience Exams to potentially earn credit
in these subject areas.
How will my degree advance my career?
Just think of all the positions that require a college degree!
A degree will give you an edge in the hiring process. And once
you have your foot in the door, a degree can help open other doors.
Employers recognize your degree as evidence of your dedication
to your career and to a lifetime of learning and professional development.
Can I progress to the next semester without paying off
my current semester?
You bet! Just pay the required down payment, and we will simply
add your remaining tuition payments to the end of your existing
payment schedule.
What is an AAS Degree?
An Associate of Applied Science Degree Program offers courses
directly related to your chosen field in addition to general education
credits. Your AAS degree symbolizes a well-rounded, career-focused education.
Will I be ready to work when I graduate?
Your program covers everything you need to know to start your
career, including a Career Development Strategies Course that will jump start your career. When you complete your program, we will provide you with
continuing graduate career support. That means we’ll help
you develop your resume and interviewing skills, as well as answer any questions you may have in your job search and beyond.
How do I submit assignments?
Many assignments can be taken online or submitted by email.
All assignments can be mailed or faxed in.

What other credentials does McKinley College have?
In addition to being a state-approved college, McKinley is also
accredited by the Distance Education and Training Council in Washington,
DC. The Accrediting Commission of the Distance Education and Training
Council is a recognized member of the Council for Higher Education
Accreditation.
What kinds of transfer credit do you allow?
You may transfer credits from an accredited college,
CLEP exams and ACE-evaluated courses. You may also earn credit
for the knowledge you have gained through Life Experience Credit.
